Step by Step Guide

New Student Admissions Procedure

St. Dominic’s International School has an open admission policy. We accept students with a broad range of academic ability and learning needs.

All applications are reviewed, prior to confirming availability, to ensure that we have the necessary resources to support the student, so enabling them to achieve their full potential. We take particular care of student wellbeing within our balanced, rigorous, International Baccalaureate Programmes.

1

Expression of Interest

To initiate the process, please submit an Expression of Interest through email to admissions@dominics-int.org, providing: name, date of birth, last year’s school report as well as the most recent one.

2

Visit to the Campus

During the tour, you will also meet a member of our teaching staff and, where possible, a student of a similar age. We strongly recommend that your child participates, as we recognise that choosing a new school is a momentous decision, and so we encourage you and your child to ask as many questions as you like.

If your child will be applying to Grade 6 or above, we may request that s/he completes a placement test, either during your visit or at your child’s present school. This enables us to understand better their learning style and strengths.

Students who are not fluent in English or who may have special educational needs may be referred to the school’s Learning Support professionals to understand better their strengths and needs.

3

Offer Email

Following the visit, the application is reviewed, prior to confirming availability, to ensure that we have the necessary resources to support the student, so enabling them to achieve their full potential. Please note that placement is offered according to space availability and the date of your application.

4

Registration Forms

To complete Registration, and to confirm a place for your child, the following forms will be provided:

  • Registration details
  • Health Questionaire
  • School Consents
  • Rules and Regulations
  • Tuition Fees

It is critically important that in completing this process you are open and transparent with any concerns on the health or learning needs of your child, in order to prevent any unforeseen difficulties on admission.

5

Registration Confirmation

On receipt of the completed forms, together with payment of the Registration Fees, comprising the Annual Registration and the applicable Capital Levy, the School will confirm the admission of your child.

Visit Options

Given the restrictions due to the pandemic, our admissions team has other options for visiting the school, such as Zoom, Whatsapp or Facetime.
